301

Yes, folks/readers/friends/countrymen/what-have-you, this is my 301st post. :) I meant to make a big deal about my 300th post (I've been planning for a while now), but I accidentally missed it. Oh well, such is the life of Jennica. :)

In other news, as if my ninth grade students don't love me enough for dragging them through the thoroughly depressing Of Mice and Men, I am about to take them on a journey through poetry. I can hear their groans now. Oh wait, they have those groans every day, no matter what I teach them!!! Ha!
What's new.

In other other news, I only have a few weeks left with them. This is both good and bad. Good because I will get more sleep and won't be frustrated every day, bad because I won't get paid and will miss my sophomores.

In other other other news, I am going to go to Disneyland on Saturday for the first time in thirteen and a half years. My students are all shocked that I haven't been since I was ten. None of my students actually know how old I am. This was one of my students' attempts at humor. ;)

Me: I haven't been to Disneyland since I was ten!
--Shocked gasps--
Students: What?!?!
"Sam": So that was like, what, two years ago?

Haha, not quite. ;)

Black kettles and pots

So it's 11:59 pm, and I'm finishing part of a PowerPoint slide on procrastination; I'm going to use it in class tomorrow. Ironic, is it not? ;)

Fun times...

Guess what?! I'm going to India on a mission trip in July! I'll be gone for two weeks. More info to come!!
Yesterday Amos, Luke, Danielle, and I went out to Lancaster to drive on the Musical Road! Grooves were cut into the asphalt so that as you drive the road, you can hear the first little bit of the William Tell Overture! It was so much fun! We drove it at least five times. :)
I'm off to plan more teaching and grade more assignments. Happy Sunday!

Apologies

I guess February is going to be a lean month in the posting department; sorry about that.
I've been spending my time getting better from some flu-type thing, teaching, tutoring, and hanging out with Amos.
I am going to be an aunt in August! I can't remember if I said that on here yet.
I'm hoping to go to India this summer on a mission trip with my church. We shall see if that's a go or not.
I hope you're all doing well! I think I've used enough sentences starting with "I"!

They never told me...

how hard it would be to teach and discipline angry 14 and 15 year-olds.

I'm not a quitter, but sometimes I wish I were.
