Amos and I went and saw Les Mis on Saturday, and the music is just beautiful. I'm a little slow to jump on the bandwagon, but that's okay.
Here are YouTube links to two of my favorite songs from the movie. I saw an offer for a free $2.00 MP3 credit for amazon.com, so I used it to buy these two songs. :) Hopefully more credits will come along so that I can get the rest of the album. :)
I Dreamed a Dream - So sad. I'm so thankful that I don't have Fantine's life, though I know that many women around the world do.
In My Life/A Heart Full of Love - Amos thinks this song is ridiculous, but I like it. :)
Here is a blogpost on Les Miserables that I thought was excellent! My friend Grace Wheeler (from the "Snowsemite" weekend) posted it on Facebook. (Amos and I personally thought that Russell Crowe sang very well, though he didn't sound evil or scary or anything...but this blogpost address the lack of "scary" in his voice very well, I think.)
