Six links and a weed

A few links for today...

Key Lime Pie VII Recipe from allrecipes.com
Five stars from 2,384 reviews.  I made a gluten-free shortbread crust and baked it in an 8x8 pan before mixing up the filling and baking it as lime bars.  It took about four and half regular limes to make 3/4 cup juice.
Oh yeah.
It's good.

Vanishing Adulthood and an American Moment: A Conversation with Senator Ben Sasse with Al Mohler from albertmohler.com
Ben Sasse is a senator from Nebraska.  He recently wrote a book about the importance of work in the lives of adolescents.  This interview with Al Mohler touches on many things, including work, leisure vs. recreation, America as an idea, the importance of books and travel, and many other topics.  Ben Sasse and Al Mohler are both well read and highly intelligent; it is a great interview.  Amos and I listened to this last night, and in the middle of the interview, Amos hopped on our library website and put this book on hold.
I haven't read it yet, but it is going to be awesome.

Two more interviews with Ben Sasse:
No More Neverland: A Senator's Guide to Raising American Adults from NPR
Sen. Ben Sasse Is On the Hunt for 'American Adults' from WBUR (I have not listened to this one yet.)

How To Love When You Don't Feel Like It from desiringgod.com
The main point I took away from this article was, how do you love someone when you don't feel like it?  You do what you would do if you DID feel like it.
Someone shared this on Facebook, and I've kept it open in my browser to remind myself to love Amos, even when I'd rather not.

And in case you need something to listen to, I recommend the soundtrack from Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. :)

A small weed on our porch.  How cool!

Thanks for this -- I needed to read the post about love. And that key lime pie looks delicious... :-)
