Provision

I'm so excited right now, I'm kinda freaking out.
I've known for a while that I would be cutting it close with bills and such for January and February. I wasn't going to be subbing for at least four weeks, I wouldn't be tutoring for at least three weeks, I was going to be spending money on gas (400 miles one way + sidetrips), I was going to be going to Nebraska, etc. and so forth.
However, God has really been showing me His provision lately. I heard from a teacher I recently met at church that sub jobs would pick up in the spring. I also knew that I had a new student that I would be tutoring two days a week with one tutoring company. I was hoping that my other tutoring company would pick up more students because of parents who wanted to raise final GPAs. I was hoping for some Christmas money.
In the last week, God has shown me that He is the One caring for me in ways I never imagined. I received unexpected money, and I received an unexpected job. I will write more in later posts (once the job part is official), but in the last few days I have been totally blessed in many different ways. God is active in my life. I've had it hard for a while, but I've never been in serious trouble. God has helped me and provided for me even when I was really down and didn't know what would happen next. He was there when I was worrying instead of trusting and looking down instead of up. My prayer is that I will be truly thankful for what God has given me, even when I'm tired and confused and frustrated. My prayer is that I will remember this time when I'm tempted to despair and remember that God is there for me in much and in little.
My God is a Rock, and my God is good.

And as a lot of photographers say on their blogs, "A post is always better with a picture!"
