It has been NINE days since I last wrote. Sporadic internet access has influenced the dearth of both ridiculous and purposeful prose on this humble weblog. (I really like that sentence. :) )
In news today, I have a roommate! Her name is Jen. It might be short for Jennifer, but I'm not sure. So apartment 1730 now will house Michelle, Michelle, Jen, and Jennica. Very funny. I don't really know Jen, so if you think of us, pray that we will be profitable roommates for each other. She is moving in next weekend.
In other news, my apartment now has warm water. What we do not have is hot water. This will hopefully be remedied today. We are also getting internet today, so I will be able to write more on here.
In other other other news, I have had the dark blue ribbon marker of my Bible holding the place at Jeremiah 17:5-8 for the last few months. I thought I would share the verses with you.
Thus says the LORD:
"Cursed is the man who trusts in man,
And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the LORD.
For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
And shall not see when good comes,
But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
In a salt land which is not inhabited.
[insert my comment, "BUT..."]
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
And whose hope is the LORD.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit."
